Job Fact Sheets for the Board of Directors

All Positions are Two Year Terms

President

The President shall preside at all General and Executive meetings of the Club. In his/her absence, the Vice President shall take the Chair. The absence of both Officers shall require the selection, by the Board of Directors, of a pro tem presiding officer.

 

  • The President is the presiding officer at all meetings of the Club or Board of Directors convened pursuant to these by‑laws, and shall decide all questions of order and announce the results of votes.
  • The President shall not move nor second any motions, resolutions or amendments.
  • The President shall not vote on any resolution, motion or amendment except in the case of equality of votes, at which time the President shall cast the deciding vote.
  • The President may vote in elections of officers.
  • The President shall represent the Club as required at affiliated association meetings or as deemed prudent for club promotion.
  • The President shall approve a member of the board as and ex-officio member of all subcommittees.

 

Vice President

  • The Vice President shall, in the absence of the President, be the presiding officer at all meetings of the Club or Board of Directors.
  • Except when acting as presiding officer, the Vice President shall be entitled to vote and to move or second a motion, resolution or amendment at all meetings of the Club.
  • The Vice President assumes the position of President until the next annual general meeting in the event of the resignation, death or incapacitation of the President.

 

Secretary

  • shall record all proceedings and decisions of meetings of the Club and the Board of Directors, and distribute copies of same among all parties concerned, within a reasonable time.
  • shall receive and dispatch correspondence including notices of motion, minutes of proceedings, and statutory notices and filings; and perform other related duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

 

Treasurer

  • shall be the custodian of all monies belonging to the club, maintain a record of the accounts of the Club; release funds as approved by the Board of Directors; prepare such reports as are required by law or enactment, or as requested by the Board of Directors; and perform other related duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

 

Registrar

  • shall prepare such forms and records as are required by the Board of Directors or a Sanctioning Authority for the registration of players; collect fees and other payments related to registration of players; and perform other related duties as assigned by the Board of Directors.

 

 

Equipment Manager

  • Responsible for distributing, collecting, and safeguarding equipment owned by the club. 
  • Responsible for presenting budgets and purchase requirements to the board for replacing and/or purchasing new equipment as directed by the Board of Directors.

 

Director of Competitive and Senior Programs (NSSL)

  • Coordinates all competitive programs and all Senior programs
  • Chairman of the Technical Committee.
  • Recruits, coordinates and manages all coaches in the aforementioned programs and liaise with the Directors of Youth programs and Technical Director to ensure continuity of club developmental practices.
  • Attends league meetings

 

Director of  Mini  Programs

  • Coordinates the mini program, arranges year end mini fest, assists with registration and equipment return for the mini programs.
  • Oversees the Academy program
  • Recruits, coordinates and manages all coaches in the aforementioned program and liaise with the Directors of Competitive and Recreational programs and Technical Director to ensure continuity of club developmental practices.

Director of Recreational & Competitive Youth Programs (CISL & MISL)    

  • Coordinates all non-competitive programs
  • Recruits, coordinates and manages all coaches in the aforementioned programs and liaise with the Directors of Competitive, Mini programs and Technical Director to ensure continuity of club developmental practices.
  • Attends league meetings

 

Members-at-Large (minimum of 2)

  • Is assigned duties by the President as required.

 

All members of the Board of Directors are required to attend all meetings of the Board and participate where ever possible in the management of the Club.
